Information About Us
McGrigors is the trading name of McGrigors LLP and McGrigors Belfast LLP.
McGrigors LLP is a limited liability partnership registered in Scotland with registered number SO300918 and having its registered office at Princes Exchange, 1 Earl Grey Street, Edinburgh. It is also a multi-national legal practice, regulated and recognised / authorised by both the Law Society of Scotland, (http://www.lawscot.org.uk/members/regulation-and-standards), and the Solicitors Regulation Authority,( http://www.sra.org.uk/code-of-conduct).
We operate in Northern Ireland through a separate business entity, a limited liability partnership called McGrigors Belfast LLP ("McGrigors Belfast") with registered number NILLP116 and having its registered office at Arnott House, 12-16 Bridge Street, Belfast. McGrigors Belfast LLP is regulated by the Law Society of Northern Ireland, ( http://www.lawsoc-ni.org/role-of-the-law-society/regulation).
Our offices in the Falkland Islands and Qatar are branches of McGrigors LLP.
McGrigors LLP - QFC Branch is licensed by the Qatar Financial Centre Authority and has its principal place of business at PO Box 22758, Tornado Tower, West Bay, Doha, State of Qatar.
Partners
We use the word "Partner" to refer to a member of the LLP, or an employee with equivalent standing and qualifications.
A list of Partners, both members and non-members, is open to inspection at each of our offices.
Professional Indemnity Insurance
In accordance with the disclosure requirements of The Provision of Services Regulations 2009, our compulsory professional indemnity insurance cover for:-
(i) Scotland is under the Law Society of Scotland's Master Policy for professional indemnity insurance. The cover is provided by a panel of insurers, the lead insurer being Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance plc. For the purposes of this notice, the lead insurer's address is 15 York Street, Glasgow G2 8LA;
(ii) Northern Ireland is under the Law Society of Northern Ireland's Master Policy for professional indemnity insurance. The cover is provided by a panel of insurers, the lead insurer being Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance plc. For the purposes of this notice, the lead insurer's address is 15 York Street, Glasgow G2 8LA; and
(iii) England & Wales is provided by QBE Insurance (Europe) Ltd. For the purposes of this notice, the insurer's address is 30 Fenchurch Street London EC3M 3BD.
McGrigors has professional indemnity insurance in place on a worldwide basis which is in excess of local regulatory requirements. For further information please contact our Risk Knowledge Management Partner.
Client Care
If you are a client and you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the service provided to you we would ask that in the first instance you contact the partner responsible for the matter or your relationship partner who will be happy to discuss the matter with you. If you are still dissatisfied, then you are entitled to invoke our complaints process.
We will provide you with a copy of our complaints procedure on request. We will examine any complaint promptly and do what we can to resolve the situation. If you are not happy with the outcome you may be able to have the complaint considered by the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission, the Legal Ombudsman or the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Should you wish to do this, we can direct you to the body which is able to deal with your complaint. Normally a complaint to any of these bodies must be made within 6 months of our final written response to you about your complaint. (Note: the Legal Ombudsman operates in England & Wales and can only accept complaints from members of the public, very small businesses, charities, clubs and trusts. Statement of Ethics
McGrigors LLP does not tolerate, permit, or engage in bribery, corruption, or improper payments of any kind in our business dealings, anywhere in the world, both with public officials and people in the private sector.

- We will not use intermediaries or contractors for the purpose of committing acts of bribery.
- We will not assist clients with acts of bribery.
- We do not allow employees to accept money, gifts, hospitality and other advantages from business associates, actual or potential suppliers, or service providers which are intended to influence a business decision or transaction in some improper way.
- No employee will suffer demotion, penalty, or other adverse consequence for refusing to pay bribes, even if it may result in the firm losing business.
- We are committed to a programme to counter the risk of the firm being involved in bribery.
